Great Public Speaking Starts And Ends With Confidence

Great Public Speaking Starts And Ends With Confidence

Episode 15

Our guest today is Matt Abrahams who is a lecturer at Stanford University, a published author of Speaking Up Without Freaking Out; 50 Techniques For Confident, Calm and Competent Presenting and he also runs a company called Bold Echo Communications Solutions which trains people how to deliver great talks. Matt was actually our guest back in April (It’s the end of June right now).

Due to a little shuffling of the deck and perhaps some poor organizational skills, this episode is a little late. But it’s worth the wait as it is action packed with some amazing public speaking advice. Specifically about speaking with confidence. Something everyone needs to insert into their talks no matter how good a speaker they are.

He is not a TED or TEDx speaker however he has worked with people who have like friend of the show John Bates. Matt had approached Dino about being on the show to talk about confidence. And we couldn’t think of a better topic to bring to our listeners.

Here is Matt’s favorite TED talk

Matt may have invented a new show for us as he reverse engineers his favorite TED talk. Let us know in the comments if you like the idea for a new show.
